This project was put together for a class in my senior year. The assignment was just to rig and animate a character that would be ready to put in the game, but I extended that to be a little boss fight / tech demo thing. That resulted in this little experience that I did all art, coding, and implementation for. You play as Super Penguin as he puts an end to Dr. Gorilla Stein’s latest plot by destroying his weapon. The characters were modeled in Modo, unwrapped with UV layout, and rigged and animated in Maya. The turrets and Dr. Gorilla Stein’s weapon were modeled in Maya and unwrapped in UV layout. The characters and weapons were textured in Substance Painter. The ice material was made in Substance Designer. The in game UI was made in Illustrator. The particles and splashscreen was made in Photoshop. Everything was put together in Unity as I wanted to make sure I was familiar with all steps of game making.
Character Models
The Antarctican Avenger the player fights as. Super Penguin has extraordinary strength, speed, and durability for a penguin. He still can’t fly, flightless birds and all, but he’s really brave to take on Dr. Gorilla Stein’s villainy.
The Evil Scientist that wreaks havoc on Super Penguin’s home city. Years ago, Super Penguin crashed his Penguin Jet into Dr. Gorilla Stein’s lab and he lost his right arm in the accident. Gorilla Stein replaced the arm with an arm sized USB drive that allows him to plug in and control the machines he builds to get vengeance on Super Penguin.

Controller and Keyboard are supported. Gamepad controls are given here for Xbox, and are what is shown in game
